Hello, nice to meet you my name is Jason. I just want to know, which welding interests you the most Mig welding or tig welding?

Currently I'm more interested in TIG as I do not have any experience with it.

A very interesting idea,start a welding buisness. Well the main thing you want to figure out is what kind of buisness,mfg or repair, but for general purposes I would look for an invertor[Miller XMT/Lincoln Invertec] or the like. That will allow to Stick,Mig,DC Tig, get 1 that will run 1or3 ph and you have portability, if you need to do alum a spool gun is a nice option,This set up does not allow for Tigging alum, but that may not be a major concern at this time.

I'm leaning towards having a shop,cuz the some of the commercial rental spaces are pretty cheap right now. I really can't afford to buy new so i'm looking at local equipment auctions,craigslist,etc. for a welder and other stuff right now.

Be careful on used equiptment,some is real junk,but there are good used equipt dealers out there that check and repair all there equipt before selling,some even warrenty. If you need I can give you some names of used equipt dealers,where do you live?
