First post on the welder forum. I love these hobby forums. I was a weldor for 45 years before I retired about 2 years ago from the pipe fitter union. My hobbies now a days are mostly CNC, on a 2' X 4' table I built for routing and engraving. I also do a lot of canvas sewing, mostly on boats and I like to tinker on my small lathe making custom brass pipes. I still do a lot of welding in my shop on an old hobart AC-DC machine it is about as old as I am. No stick welding anymore only tig, no sparks and very little smoke.
