My assignment is to write an article on MIG welding for my company newsletter. Being clueless about welding it seemed that Welderzone subscribers would be a great resource. Uncovering the difficulties encountered in holding work pieces by production welders or in robotic applications is a primary theme? How were these difficulties tackled and if not resolved, what holding tool might be a helpful solution?

Any other resource suggestions on MIG welding would be helpful for research.
