I've been lurking on here for the past month or so, and I finally decided to introduce myself. I've been on cnczone for several years, and with the help of that forum I got my plasma table working.

I live and work in Ft. Nelson BC, mostly in the oil and gas field, and a little in power generation. Currently I have an old Miller 185 mig, a Lincoln 185 tig, and a Hypertherm 1000 on my table. My most recent purchase is a Fanuc Arcmate 18i, with a RJ2 control. The welding powersupply is a Lincoln powerwave 450. This is a pretty big step up :) , as this supply can put out up to 500amps! This unit should be here Friday.
The only robot I have ever played with before is an old OTC, so I guess this will be babtism by fire! Does anyone have any charts for general settings for this welder (voltage, wire speed, welding speed) as I know you can pump the juice, and really motor along but I have no idea where to start.
